The term REALTOR® is a registered, collective membership mark that may be only used by members of The National Association of Realtors. It identifies the REALTOR® as a professional who subscribes to NAR’s strict Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice, thus enhancing trustworthiness to clients and customers. Research has shown that the number of people who say there is a benefit to working with a REALTOR® increases each year.

Our Code of Ethics stands for honor, integrity and service in the real estate profession and truly sets them apart from non-members. Adopted by REALTORS® in 1913, the Code currently consists of 17 Articles with related Standards of Practice. To ensure that it stays relevant to our changing industry, the Code undergoes continuous scrutiny and enhancement.

The Code of Ethics guides us through our daily interactions with clients, customers, the public and each other. It is what distinguishes us as REALTORS®.
